  2. The reviewer must be able to provide comments, opinions, and critiques in a precise and scholarly manner.

  3. The reviewer should embody the ethical qualities expected of scholars, such as objectivity, integrity, and honesty.

  4. The reviewer must have a thorough understanding of the standards of peer review in scientific journals and the criteria for evaluating scientific research.

  5. The reviewer should respect the deadlines set for the review process.

  6. The reviewer must be fully aware of the journal’s publishing policies and privacy regulations, and commit to adhering to them.

Recruitment and Selection of Reviewers

The Editorial Board of the Scientific Journal of Sharia Sciences is keen to attract outstanding academics who meet the above conditions, particularly those with international academic activity or with books and research published in prestigious international journals.

The journal adopts several methods for attracting reviewers, including the following:

  1. Preparing a directory containing the names of professors with academic degrees and expertise in Sharia sciences and Arabic sciences.

  2. Building bridges of communication with selected scholars and inviting them to participate in academic events organized by the college.

  3. Direct communication: often, a member of the Editorial Board contacts specialized experts directly, who are well-known for their competence and scholarly integrity, to invite them to serve as reviewers for the journal.

  4. Indirect communication: through the reviewers’ educational institutions or affiliated research centers.

  5. Encouraging current reviewers to recommend and recruit new reviewers who meet the required conditions.

  6. Encouraging researchers whose outstanding papers have been published in the journal to join the pool of reviewers.

  7. Through the electronic portal: the journal provides an online portal for those interested in becoming reviewers, where they can complete an electronic application form containing the necessary information, along with supporting documents such as a CV and promotion decisions.
