Publication Guidelines

Publication Conditions in the Journal:

Methodological conditions for writing research papers:

  1. The research must be original in its ideas and subject, and must present a clear research problem.

  2. The research must not exceed thirty-five (35) pages, including the introduction and the list of sources and references, while considering exceptions for certain topics (e.g., editing a manuscript or similar work).

  3. The research must adhere to the internationally recognized scientific methodology in academic research writing.

  4. The language must be correct, and the ideas clear, coherent, and logically sequenced.

  5. The research must not have been previously published in any other journal, conference proceedings, or similar outlets.

  6. The journal allows the publication of research extracted from a Master’s thesis or PhD dissertation by the same researcher if it meets publication requirements, provided that a copy of the defense committee’s decision is attached. However, such research is not considered for academic promotion purposes; it will be published solely for scholarly benefit, with a note to this effect on the first page of the article.

  7. Each research paper must be preceded by an abstract in both Arabic and English, in which the researcher identifies the research problem, explains its significance, and provides keywords to facilitate future referencing. The abstract, including keywords, must not exceed 500 words.

  8. If the paper submitted is a book review or a report on a conference or seminar, it must not exceed five (5) pages.

Technical formatting conditions:

  1. The paper must be typed in Microsoft Word on A4-sized paper, using Sakkal Majalla font: size (16) for the main text, size (16 Bold) for subheadings, size (17 Bold) for main headings, and size (13) for footnotes. If the paper is submitted via email, a PDF version must be attached in addition to the Word file.

  2. Margins must be as follows: right (2.5 cm), left (2.5 cm), top (3 cm), bottom (2.5 cm).

  3. Line spacing must be single; text alignment must be justified; paragraph spacing (0) before and after, except for subheadings (6 before, 0 after) and main headings (18 before, 0 after). No blank lines should be left within the text.

  4. Page numbers must appear at the bottom center, but not on the cover page.

  5. A list of sources and references must be provided at the end of the paper on a separate page, arranged alphabetically by source/author name (A to Z), including publication details. These details should not be repeated in the footnotes. If the Holy Qur’an is among the references, it should be listed first with the specific narration used.

  6. Qur’anic verses must be printed according to the standardized script (rasm), with the surah name and verse number cited in the footnote (e.g., Surah X, verse Y). It is preferable to send the font files used for Qur’anic text via email or CD.

  7. For Hadith citations, the standard method must be followed: stating the book, chapter, hadith number, volume, and page number, with the ruling on the hadith provided if it is not from Sahih al-Bukhari or Sahih Muslim.

General Considerations:

  1. On the cover page of the research paper (a separate page), the following must be included: the researcher’s name, academic rank, current workplace, address, phone number, and email.

  2. The title of the research is repeated without the researcher’s name at the top of the first page of the paper.

  3. Papers submitted to the journal will not be returned to their authors, whether published or not.

  4. The Editorial Board has the right to make minor modifications suggested by the reviewer without referring back to the researcher, provided that such changes do not affect the essence of the subject or its main objectives.

  5. The Editorial Board has the right to make language corrections and format the research in terms of printing and layout as required by the journal’s technical production, without consulting the researcher on any of these matters.

  6. The views expressed in the published research and studies do not necessarily reflect those of the Editorial Board; they solely represent the opinions of their authors, who bear full responsibility for the viewpoints expressed and the accuracy of the information or data contained therein.

  7. The arrangement of published research is determined according to the technical requirements of the journal’s layout, and does not reflect the scientific value of the papers or the academic level of the researchers.

  8. The researcher will be provided with three copies of the journal issue in which their paper is published, in case the journal is published in print.
