Duties and rights of researchers

First: Authors’ Rights

  1. The author enjoys intellectual and academic protection for manuscripts and scientific papers published in the journal.

  2. The author has the right to make any modifications deemed appropriate to the manuscript or paper after the editing process has been completed but before publication in the journal.

  3. No other scientific journal may reproduce, in whole or in part, or translate into another language any of the articles without prior permission from the journal and the approval of the author of the paper.

  4. The manuscript or scientific paper must be made publicly available and attributed to its author by name. The author’s name must be cited whenever their paper is quoted in other scholarly works, referenced in public communications, or included in any reproduced copies of the work, regardless of format or method, in accordance with the law.

  5. It is prohibited to delete, alter, add to, or otherwise modify the manuscript or paper, or to make any changes that would harm the honor or reputation of the author.

  6. The author will be formally informed of the evaluation decision within a maximum of two months from the date of submission. The author has the right to appeal the evaluation result if it is negative.

Second: Authors’ Duties

  1. The research must fall within the scientific scope of the Journal of Sharia Sciences.

  2. The author must submit original work that does not violate copyright or publishing rights, in accordance with the journal’s publication guidelines. The author bears full responsibility for any copyright or intellectual property disputes that may be raised against the journal and is obliged to assume all resulting legal consequences, with no liability on the part of the journal.

  3. The research must include: the title, author’s institutional affiliation, academic email, phone number, abstract, keywords (in both Arabic and English), introduction, significance of the subject, methodology, conclusion (with results and recommendations), and sources/references.

  4. The research must not be derived from an academic thesis, previously published in any form, or submitted to conferences or seminars. A written declaration from the author must be attached to confirm this.

  5. The author must adhere to the journal’s rules and regulations for publication.

  6. The author must comply with any revisions required by the reviewers. If the author fails to implement the requested revisions—especially in the case of major changes—the paper will be rejected. Acceptance with revisions is considered an opportunity for the author to improve the article.

  7. The author must cite original sources properly, giving credit where due and recognizing the scholarly efforts of others.

  8. The research must be free of plagiarism, and the similarity index must not exceed the percentage specified for the field by the journal’s plagiarism-check committee.

  9. The author must uphold research integrity, ensuring that the work is original, contributes beneficially to society, and complies with the journal’s ethics of research and publication policies.
