Conflict of Interest Policy
• Responsibilities of Different Parties:
The journal considers disclosure of conflicts of interest to be an essential part of the ethical responsibility of authors, reviewers, and editorial board members. The journal is committed to enforcing this policy in order to ensure the highest standards of integrity in its publications, build trust in the scientific publishing process, and guarantee that decisions regarding acceptance or rejection of research are based solely on scientific merit and objectivity.
• Responsibilities of Authors:
-
Authors must disclose any financial or personal conflicts of interest that could be interpreted as influencing the results of their research or their interpretation.
-
Disclosure of conflicts of interest must be included in a designated section of the manuscript (usually in the acknowledgments section or at the end of the paper before the references list).
• Responsibilities of Reviewers:
Reviewers must disclose any conflicts of interest that may affect their ability to provide an objective and impartial review of the research. This includes:
-
Any personal or professional relationships with the authors, affiliation with the author’s research institution, or financial interests in the research outcomes.
-
If a conflict of interest exists, the reviewer must immediately inform the Editor-in-Chief and withdraw from the review process.
• Responsibilities of the Editorial Board:
The editorial board is committed to handling any disclosed conflicts of interest with transparency and fairness. Editorial board members must disclose any potential conflicts that could affect their editorial decisions, including but not limited to:
-
Being an author of a manuscript under review in the journal (in such cases, they are excluded from the decision-making process for that manuscript).
-
Personal or professional relationships with the authors.
-
Financial or academic interests in the research outcomes.
• Consequences of Non-Disclosure of Conflicts of Interest:
-
Failure to disclose relevant conflicts of interest may result in the rejection of the manuscript or its withdrawal after publication, and the parties concerned will be notified.
-
Reviewers or editorial board members may be excluded from handling a specific manuscript.
