Research Ethics
Research Ethics (Scientific Integrity)
Researchers who wish to publish in the journal must adhere to the following publishing ethics:
-
Abide by the principles of honesty and scientific integrity, accurately documenting references and sources in an academic manner, adhering to acceptable limits of citation, and refraining from falsifying or manipulating results for any purpose. The researcher should only attribute to themselves their own ideas and efforts.
-
Refrain from using scientific research for non-scientific purposes such as political aims, personal interests, favoritism toward relatives, or seeking to please officials, entities, or institutions of any kind.
-
Maintain objectivity and neutrality, avoiding bias toward personal opinions. The research should be logical and free from personal inclinations, and the researcher must accept any results supported by evidence and proofs, even if such results contradict their own beliefs or ideas.
-
Preserve the confidentiality of personal information of individuals and institutions targeted by the research.
-
Continuously review the findings of researchers and scholars within the same field of specialization, as such knowledge forms the foundation upon which authentic scientific studies are built, enabling the pursuit of original research that achieves its intended goals.
Ethics of the Researcher Toward Their Submitted Work
Researchers wishing to publish in the journal must commit to the research ethics outlined in this memorandum when preparing their scientific studies, as follows:
-
When selecting a research topic, the researcher should ensure it is suitable to their expertise, skills, and physical and psychological capabilities.
-
The researcher should choose research topics that address the needs of institutions, society, and the environment, contributing to solving problems and developing the community.
-
The researcher must prepare and write their scientific study in accordance with internationally recognized academic research procedures.
-
The researcher should ensure that the sources relied upon are credible scientific references directly or partially related to the research problem, so they contribute meaningfully to the study and do not deviate from its scope.
-
Relying on the appropriate scientific method or methods for the research subject or problem is considered one of the researcher’s most important obligations.
